John, Carol, Lindsay, Jim, Jennifer and Matt

     

 

John and Carol met in high school when they were sixteen and have been together ever since. John comes with a background of management from working at Stu Evans Lincoln Mercury. He has been on the Lexington fire and rescue department since 1990. John is the Assistant Fire Chief, licensed fireman and medical first responder. You will see John repairing this and fixing that, buying groceries, talking to our residents, maintenance projects, or maybe on scene at an accident or on a rescue. 

Carol Watson worked at Hewlett Packard and was the Ford/GM/EDS hardware contracts specialist for several years. She also has experience in administrative, marketing, bookkeeping, and purchasing for over twenty-five years. Carol grew up in a home where her father had a lot of medical problems and a grandmother who had several strokes before she was born. Taking care of people was second nature. Carol observed her mother's patience and compassionate kindness while she was growing up. She volunteers at the Sanilac County Historical Museum in the spring and fall giving tours to school children. At Watson Manor, she is primarily the administrator and stays closely involved with day to day operations.  In her free time she bowls, rents cottages and builds web sites.

All of us are trained in CPR, first aid, medication disbursement, and take classes throughout the year. Our children Jim and Jennifer have grown up in our foster care home most of their life. Jim received his master’s degree in physical therapy in 2006 and manages a physical provides therapy clinic in Southfield Michigan. Jim married Lindsay Schmuker on 09-10-11 in Las Vegas who is also a physical therapist in Southfield. They reside in Ferndale, Michigan with their dog Sasha.

Jennifer graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in science and a minor in psychology. She attended Kent State University in Ohio for 1 year of grad school in biology. Jennifer accepted a position at Golder Associates in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, which is an environmental consulting firm.  She transferred to Golder Associates in London and now resides in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Jennifer married Matthew Douglas on 10-02-10 who is a buyer for Shell Oil.  They have 1 daughter named Aven and their dog Palmer.
